Fine Art Wedding Photography by Judy Eliyas & Studio 925

Owner and photographer Judy Eliyas believes wedding photography is both a visual narrative of the days emotions and a historical documentation to be passed on to future generations. The images should tell "your" story…from the buttoning of the dress to the clinking of the champagne glasses. To ensure that all the important details are captured, there is no limit to the amount of time spent with you on your wedding day. The ultimate goal is a collection of photographs which allow even someone who was unable to attend your wedding to feel as if they were there.

Judy received her Masters' Degree in fine art photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1983. Since then, she has taught fine-art photography at numerous colleges, including the University of Michigan. She has received two Michigan Council of the Arts awards for her innovative photography. Judy exhibits her fine-art photography throughout the country and internationally. Her images are truly distinctive.

Judy has been an active photographer for twenty-eight years and has more than fifteen years of experience shooting weddings. She uses all medium format equipment ensuring every one of your images will be of the highest quality.

Although we also shoot color, we do specialize in black & white, and approach this with a purist attitude. We shoot a variety of black & white films for different situations and needs. We hand print all black and white photographs in our darkroom to maintain complete control of the image. We also use alternative processes including hand-applied emulsions on watercolor paper, hand tinting, and toning. The art of wedding photography has no rules or formulas…only images that speak for themselves.
